We’re Jude and Thomas Olesen — the owners and hosts of Brancaster Stays. We live locally and know this corner of North Norfolk deeply. We want every guest to leave with the same love for the coast that keeps us here.
We believe in being present without being intrusive — a warm greeting on arrival, a welcome cake waiting for you, and an open door if you ever need anything during your stay. Beyond that, the space is completely yours.
We’re happy to share our favourite spots, seasonal tips, and the kind of local knowledge that doesn’t make it onto any website — just drop us a message before or during your stay.
Our Story
How it all began
Brancaster Stays was born out of a love for the North Norfolk coast — a stretch of England that never fails to restore the soul. The tidal creeks, big skies, and quiet lanes around Brancaster Staithe have drawn visitors for generations, and we wanted to create a place worthy of that setting.
We converted two ground-floor apartments with care and attention, making sure every detail from the super-king beds to the private entrances was just right for guests looking for a genuine escape.
What makes us different
We’re not a faceless letting agency. When you stay with us, you’re staying with Jude and Thomas — people who live and breathe this part of Norfolk and are genuinely delighted to share it with you.
That means thoughtful little touches on arrival, local knowledge on tap, and the confidence that if anything isn’t perfect, we’ll sort it. We’ve been recognised by VisitEngland as a Quality Assessed property — a standard we work hard to uphold with every booking.
